What a difference a day makes.... 24 'lil hours.
Who sang that ditty then? I have no idea but i thought it quite apt in relation to the following story!Although it is technically more than 24 hours, the basic idea is the same.What a differnce time has made! On Friday night/Saturday morning at 2 am i thought my darling man was having a heart attack! I was merrily sewing away, making a bag from a discarded pocket from a pair of combat trousers. The whirring of my machine was probably keeping the neighbours awake when above the din i heard "Soos!" As it sounded quite urgent, rather than yell my usual "What?" I trundled through to the bedroom to be greeted with the frightening sight of my Fella curled into the computer chair, face ashen white, and him clutching his chest! "Get me a glass" was all he managed to whisper between shallow, panicking breaths. Me, being me, thought "OK , He is hyperventilating because he doesn't know what's happening and instead of giving him a telling off for not asking for the proper equipment (i.e. a paper bag to regulate his breathing) i'll just go and do it then i'll lecture him while he's getting it under control !" As quick as Linford Christie I sprinted to the kitchen and back, clutching the glass then handed it to him. Instead of taking it from me he shakily pointed a finger at the bed and said "Get It!!!!!" There, standing glaring at him ,tapping one of it's eight legs, was one fo the most ginormous spiders I have ever seen !! I promptly scooped it up and liberated it out the hall window to cries of "KILL IT!!" The point of this story is my 6ft skinhead bloke is scare pantless of spiders! But, to be fair, he is getting better! Last night, just before we went to bed, he found another one in the bathroom. I got the glass and caught it, paper under it to keep it contained and then Geoff reinforced the base with a placemat. Guess what happened next?? Massacre?? Liberation??? NO!!! A bit of male/spider bonding!! Ach well!! MEN!!!
