Tears, hankies and Wailing?
Not from this Chick you don't! The Drama Queen has finally left the building! Yes!! The day is here. She has flown the coop and is now safely ensconced in her student flat. The building is huge , looks and smells like an Old School ,with its eggshell blue walls and grey linoleum floors!. I wonder what it was in it's fledgling life?? I wonder if She will be remotely interested in finding out?? I doubt it very much the lazy Mare! Anyway, Her room looks out onto the green space and from her bedroom window guess what you can see? Yes!!! H.K. Handiknit!! Would you Adam and Eve it?! What a stroke of pure genius on the part of the Letting Officer at the Uni! I mean, how was he to know that that particular Students Maw was a mad keen knitter?? Oh the Luck of the Oirish is with me... that's stretching it a bit since i aint Oirish but what's a nationality between Celts? We left The Drama Queen to settle in and meet and greet her new flatmates (they will be the ones greeting when they have to live with Miss Prim!!) and off iWe went to HK. It was another Linford Christie moment as i headed for the shop in anticipation of the myriad of colour and texture that i knew awaited me! WELL!! Did my Mother and Geoff not stop me at the computer shop 4 doors away!! BLIMEY O'RIELLY...... WHAT TORTURE! Have you ever tried to pretend you are interested in hard drives, zillion billion gigs of stuff, soft ware blah dee blah blah....... all you knitters out there will know what i mean! To cut to the chase, I finally got to the shop and I thought I had died and gone to Heaven. The shop is beautiful and a knitters paradise! I was in my element till i spotted them! There, sitting on the shelf waving at me, I'm even sure they were calling my name, were what??? Yes you guessed rightly, Felted Bags! Them things are the bane of my ruddy life and i WILL master the craft! I bored the lady , who I assume was Julie, to death about my felted bag experience and she was very helpful and polite, trying not to keel over when she lost the will to live after 10 mins of boredom from me! Thank You Julie! All too soon it was time to go but I will be back to the shop as soon as I can save some cash .Ii want to go and sift through the books and go M>A>D spending the readies! We went back to say Cheerio to the Drama Queen. Was I sad?.... NO Was I upset to be leaving? ....NO Was I crying as I was leaving my First Born?....Most definately NOT!! Me and D.Q. are so similar its scarey. She brushes of sentiment as well and is so grounded , matter of fact and down to earth its spooky for someone so young! She doesnt need her Mummy in her life daily now...... perhaps I will only see Her when the Moths fly from her purse!!
Can I describe myself??
