A pumpkin panel, 2 skiens of kiogu wool, some cats eyes beads and a yard of mad material for a secret project!
I am now off to scold my Suki bag, which in the washing machine for the fourth time, in a vain attempt to try and felt it! It seems to be getting a bit pooked , as for shrinking??? PAH!!!!

Hi Minxxy
Am visiting your blog from the Rowan Forum.
Good luck and have fun with it.
What kind of wool have you knitting the bag that won't felt with?

Hi Yvette,
Thanks for taking a peep!
I am using Jonelle merno dk (made for John Lewis) and a pure wool (not superwash) that was made at Patons Mill. It is now in the maching for the 5th time and if anything it is getting bigger with each wash! I have used size 6.5mm needles and the wool was doubled.
Any helpful and handy tips?
Im ready for binning the bleedin thing!

Hi Minxxy,
Have you tried felting it by hand? It may work....it sounds like a devil though!
Where do you get your kiogu from?

If it's not superwash it should felt ! Next time use bigger needles - it's better when the pre-felt fabric is sloppy.Try ''shocking'' the bag.Fill the sink with very cold water - add ice cubes if you have them, dunk bag,the immediately put it in a bowl of very, very hot water.Another thing to try is to use a bar of soap, rub allover the damp bag,the rub, pummel, roll and bash it into sudsy subnission. Then another run through the washing machine ! If none of that works bin it !
Colinette's 'Skye' makes fantastic felt.Very dense with a slight boucle texture.
Just saying !

I ordered it from www.getknitted.com a very fast and efficient service from Sue Morgan. Extremely helpful on other issues also! I recommend her website!
