Im a Mum again!
I would like to announce that myself and Geoffrey became the proud parents of a tiny kitten today. She is a tad unwell and is needing some TLC as she has sticky eyes and a touch of cat flu but apart from that she is brilliant! We had gone the sponsor walk today and after it, we went down with the owner to look at 6 kittens born to a feral cat. They are used to human contact so they all padded over to us. Needless to say we fell in love straight away. It was sealed when the owner said "if you want one it's yours" and thrust the wee thing into my arms!! Now how could I refuse? How could I walk away and leave that scrap of fur in a damp, draughty hay loft uncertain where the future will find it? The twist in the story is , although the cat was free, its cost me £30 in Pets At Home plus a vet visit tomorrow. Some people can see a sucker coming! We have decided to call her Skeggy . Bit of a mad name I can hear you all saying but if the Beckhams can name their offspring after the area where they were conceived then we can name the kitten after the town where we met. If it's good enough for them it's good enough for us!! We completed the sponsored walk, I've broke my chest at SLF as I was down the front at the barrier with a 400 bodies squashing me into it, and I've become a new Mum. All in the space of a weekend. How clever am I?
Can I describe myself??
